Baby-Bop
It has been shown that babies appreciate music even before they are born. Many research projects have explored the different ways in which music and movement can be used to enhance memory skills and retention as well as for language development. Baby-Bop is a unique programme that integrates a vibrant music time for babies as young as four months old and incorporates progressively more difficult exercise and dance movements throughout the age levels. We use bells, ribbons, intsruments, and our bodies to express the beat and explore sound and movement. Action songs are used as well as encouraging free dance time and creative responses. Babies will be taken through a variety of cross-lateral brain exercises, encouraging the development of pathways between the right and left brain. But most of all, baby and mummy will have FUN!!

Dance-Nastics
Dance-nastics is a programme catering to the Toddler and Pre-school age group. This class focuses on learning how to move in time to music, develop basic and more complex fine and gross motor skills, and to give your child confidence in themselves. Song and dance is incorporated throughout the class, allowing your child to practice their English in a fun and non competitive environment. Children learn best through playing and are more receptive to language at this young age. Incorporating more physical activity helps your child to learn in a wholistic environment that values intellectual, physical, and emotional learning. Your child will learn about balance and how their body works while doing basic gymnastics and dance movements. They will explore the meaning of up and down, in and out, and many other important language concepts using their bodies as the means to understanding these concepts. Your child will have self confidence in their own achievements and making it through each class learning something new and exciting!

Theatre Kids
Children have a natural desire to tell stories and create a fantasy world in which they can be the stars. This class gives children the chance to be invovled in creative story telling and teaches presentation skills using songs and verse. Your child will be able to dress up and act out different characters each week, developing their imagination and critical thinking skills as they retell the story they have heard in class. An excellent way to encourage your child's spoken English and drama skills. Parents will have the chance to see their child perform at the end of each term. (Ages 3-5)

Hip Hop
Hip-hop is the dance form you see in most music videos. It is made up of isolated movements performed in a series. Dancers perform movements in many patterns and formations. Hip-hop incorporates floor work, upper body strength and is great aerobic exercise. It is also a dance genre that is easy to start at any age so even adult beginners can feel comfortable taking a class. Students perform this dance style in indoor running shoes. The classes are one hour in duration, which students attend once or twice a week depending on the class level.
NOTE: We aim to create a safe and positive environment for your child to learn dance. As Hip Hop music often contains adult themes and negative messages for children and teenagers, we have taken extra care to choose music that speaks the same values that we share.

Jazz
Jazz follows a specific vocabulary. It is similar to Ballet in the regard that students progress through levels of increasing difficulty and complexity with age and ability. Students learn skills such as turns, kicks, balances, jumps and traveling sequences. The skills learned in Jazz incorporate many levels of space, movement, patterns and formations. Jazz vocabulary is performed to the latest popular music. Each class is one hour in duration. Students attend class either once or twice a week depending on the class level. A well trained Jazz dancer needs to be versatile and able to perform in many different styles. Our Jazz syllabus gives this training through incoporating elements of lyrical, hip hop, musical theatre and contemporary. The dancers also get plenty of opportunity to flex their own creative muscles through improvisation in the early grades and self choreographed dance pieces in the higher grades.
