Guest Teachers

Jessica Davies – New Zealand
Jessica Davies is a born performer. She has achieved her diploma in performing arts majoring in Dance and Drama. She went on to tour New Zealand with a dance company specialising in Jazz and Hip Hop. She is an experienced Choreographer and teacher and has worked in Schools and studios throughout New Zealand.

Miss Jessica will be teaching our Jazz and Hip Hop dance classes.

Lumari Van Der Merwe
Lumari has been teaching dance and drama for the last year in studios in Hong Kong. Having recently migrated from South America, Lumari has a passion to use her creativity and love for children to help develop our theatre kids and musical theatre classes at Rhythm Dance Studio. She is an experienced Musical Theatre teacher and is working towards her Australasian Dance Association Teacher qualification in Jazz and Hip Hop. She has been teaching the RAD Ballet syllabus.

Lumari will teach our Musical Theatre classes and Ballet technique.

Evan Davies – New Zealand
Evan Rhys is a passionate musician who has been teaching for 10 years in a range of school environments. He has a background in English, Drama, and Music tuition. Evan specializes in guitar, vocal and dramatic performance tuition.

Evan has just finished three years at St Paul's Collegiate in Hamilton, New Zealand, as Head of Drama. He ran three critically acclaimed stage productions and understands the dynamics of every aspect of stage performance and confidence development. Evan is also currently working on a series of children's books that are accompanied with music. He is passionate about helping young people discover a love of music and the freedom of expression that music provides.

Sonia Herron – New Zealand
Sonia Herron is the owner and director of Sonia Herron Academy of Jazz. Having danced tap, ballet, jazz, and hip hop from a young age, she went on to complete her Diploma in Performing Arts and tour New Zealand in a Jazz and Hip Hop dance tour. She also has completed all of her grades in Trinity College of London Speech and Drama gaining the highest marks in her country at age 16. She is a passionate and dedicated teacher infusing creativity with discipline to produce students who love the performing arts and are committed to improvement.

Miss Sonia will be teaching the tap and ballet technique classes and overseeing the summer camp programme.
